Fall Baseball
by posted 06/07/2010

Fall or "winter" baseball is played from late-August through mid-November.  Sign-ups are in August.  The commitment usually involves one practice during the week and a game on Sunday, to avoid conflict with other commitments with fall sports.  Fall baseball tends to be more laid-back than even the spring rec season, and most managers try to emphasize developing fundamentals.

Most of the La Jolla kids that want to play recreational baseball during the fall/winter play in one of two leagues: Tecolote Baseball  or North City Baseball.  Tecolote offers two different programs: 1) the rec league - involving one practice during the week and game on Sunday and 2) Academy - involving 2 practices during the week and game on Sunday.  The Academy also is run by coaches/players from USD and the higher price reflects that.  We will send out an e-blast when registration is open for these leagues.

There are also opportunities to play baseball year-round with travel ball programs.  For more, see our page on travel baseball.

How to Change Contact Info on Roster
by posted 02/10/2010

If you want to change roster/contact information, including nickname, phone number, add email addresses, etc., you will need to access your "member profile."  You can do that be selecting "Edit My Account" at the bottom of the blue vertical menu bar on the left side of the website on the home page.  Just type in your email address and the site will send you a password to edit your contact info and/or the contact information for your kid.  Any questions, contact us at: .

Note also that all member profiles have a default to be notified about an upcoming game or practice.  Several families have already commented that they appreciate this feature.  But, if you no longer wish to receive these notifications, you can toggle them off at your member profile as well.
